May 20, 2008 Catherine E. Bailey, 72, of Upton Rd., Victory, passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2008 after a long journey to Jesus, with her loving family at her side. Born in Syracuse, NY, but lived most of her life in Red Creek. She was a 1973 graduate of Red Creek Central School. Catherine spent most of her life helping others and was active with the Victory United Methodist Church, Red Creek Alumni Association, the Southside Cemetery Committee, and the Victory Town Historian as well as many other interests. She recently retired from the Red Creek School District after 27 years. Preceded in death by her mother, Theresa Yarrow and adopted father, Percy Yarrow; and one son, Scott D. Bailey. Surviving are her daughter, Lisa (Bostiano) Sidoti; one granddaughter, Elizabeth Catherine Sidoti. She leaves behind many wonderful and caring extended families, friends and neighbors. Friends may call at Becker Funeral Home, 6816 Church St., Red Creek, Friday, May 23, 2008 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 24, 2008 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Southside Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of the Finger Lakes, 1130 Corporate Drive, Auburn, NY 13021.
