(Palmer) Gauvin, 53, died January 4, 2011, in her home, after an illness.Carole was born September 25, 1957 in Boston, daughter of Wendell and Celina (Julius) Palmer. She was a graduate of Fitchburg High School Class of 1976.She had worked for Sonoco Co. of Devens for many years. She had also been a Certified Nurse Assistant for over 20 years.Her husband, Robert Gauvin died in 2006.She leaves a son, Steven E. Palmer, and a daughter Patricia J. Palmer, both of Fitchburg, five brothers, Wendell C. Palmer of Leominster, William C. Palmer of Sterling, James A. Palmer of Ashby, Robert G. Palmer and Harold S. Palmer, both of Fitchburg, two sisters, Cheryle A. Ouellette and Celina M. Puchlerz-Harris, both of Fitchburg; eight grandchildren, Travis M. Palmer, Katelyn T. Palmer, Flavio Campos Jr., Kylie C. Campos, Steven E. Palmer Jr., Shawn M. Palmer, Justin W. Palmer and Zackary A. Palmer; her best friend, Blaire Nolan; nieces and nephews.She was predeceased by a brother, Wayne C. Palmer.GAUVIN -- A graveside service will be held Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at 10:00 am in Forest Hill Cemetery Fitchburg. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the: American Lung Association, 1301 Pennsylvania Ave. N.W., Washington D.C. 20004.
