MERIDEN - Carol (Cope) Daigle, died peacefully on Saturday, Jan. 19, at the Bradley Home where she had resided since 1999. Carol was born in Meriden on April 2, 1930, a daughter of the late Dudley Cope and Dorothy (Ryan) Cope. She grew up in the Westfield section of Middletown. After graduating from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1948, she went to work at the Aetna Insurance Company in Hartford. She later transferred to their branch office in Los Angeles, Calif. Upon returning to Connecticut, Carol went to work for Home Bank and retired from there. She enjoyed reading, knitting and jig saw puzzles. She was an avid Red Sox and New England Patriots fan, as well as a big supporter of the UConn Men and Women's Basketball. Carol deeply appreciated the staff at Bradley Home for their kind care and support. In many ways they were like her family. Carol is survived by a cousin, David Logan and his family, of Monteray, Mass. She also leaves a very special friend, Joan Siebert of Meriden. A memorial service will be held at the Bradley Home at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Carol's memory may be made to Bradley Home, 320 Colony St., Meriden, CT 06451. The Beecher & Bennett-Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden has been entrusted with the arrangements. To send a condolence please see obituary at www.beecherandbennett.com.
