Avis de décès de Camille Forget

FITCHBURG -- Camille H. Forget, 74, of 15 Wall St., died Sunday, Sept. 16, at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Worcester. Mr. Forget was born in Fitchburg on Dec. 17, 1932, a son of Adrien and Marie Rose (Deshenes) Forget, and was a lifelong resident of Fitchburg. He was the brother of the late Marcel R. Forget and Adrienne I. Desroches, and was employed for 29 years at Simond Saw and Steel in Fitchburg as a ban saw hardener, retiring in 1996. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He attained the rank of corporal and received the Good Conduct Medal and the National Defense Service Medal. Mr. Forget was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Church in Fitchburg, and he was a member of the American Legion Post 429, the Retired Men’s Club, Booster Club and the St. Joseph’s Club. He also enjoyed horseshoes, bocce and cribbage. Mr. Forget is survived by his wife of 52 years, Esther M. (Poirier) Forget of Fitchburg; one son and daughter-in-law, Michael A. and Jeannine Forget of Gardner; one daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia F. and Philip Ray of Winchendon; two brothers, Albert H. Forget of Gardner, Leo A. Forget of Fitchburg; two sisters, Gabrielle Leger of Fitchburg, Irene Cheries of Ashburnham; three grandchildren, John D. Blais, Michelle J. LaPointe, Kristina R. Dean; two great-grandchildren, Alivia Blais and Elijah LaPointe and several nieces and nephews. FORGET -- A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 21, at St. Joseph’s Church, Woodland Street, Fitchburg. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
