Avis de décès de Carl-Orick Jensen


Carl Orick Jensen, 88, passed away peacefully Thursday, November 18, 2010 with family by his side. He was born, raised and lived in Mt. Vernon, NY. Carl served in the US Army in World War II with the 76th Infantry division and saw action in France and Germany. He was wounded twice and received a Purple Heart with Oak Leaf Cluster. Additionally, he was awarded a Bronze Star for Bravery and the Combat Infantryman's badge. Carl worked for Western Electric as an Office Manager and Supervisor for over 40 years and retired in 1980. He was a volunteer fireman with Engine Company #5 in Mt. Vernon for over 50 years and was a life member. Carl is survived by his brothers Allen Jensen (wife, June) of Old Tappan, NJ and George Crute (wife, Marjorie) of Old Saybrook, CT as well as a niece Jill (Jensen) Callaghan and four nephews; Craig Jensen and George, Jr., James, and Barton Crute. There will be a memorial service at the Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Rd., Westwood, NJ on Saturday, December 4 at 1 PM.
