Bruce M. "Matt" King, 36, died Thursday, Sept. 23, 2010, in Long County.Matt was born Sept. 6, 1974, in Columbus, Ga., and traveled extensively with his military parents before moving to Hinesville in 1981. He was a 1994 graduate of Bradwell Institute. Upon graduation he spent a year in Hawaii. Matt worked as a framer and had been working in the flooring industry recently. He attended St. Stephen Catholic Church. He enjoyed woodworking and was a very gifted artist. He also enjoyed reading and particularly enjoyed the Native American Culture.He is survived by a daughter, Dillon King of Hinesville; his father and stepmother, Bruce and Georgette King of Hinesville; his mother, Mary Jean King of Walthourville; stepbrothers, Kenneth Jean of Hinesville, Jerry Haywood of Atlanta and Damon Haywood of Walthourville; three stepsisters, Sandra Jean and Petula Austin, both of Columbus, and Terry Wilson of Phoenix, Ariz.; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.Visitation will be 1-2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 2, with a memorial service at 2 p.m. at Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel with Father Thomas J.
