ANDERSON, Bruce Arnvid Passed away on Friday, March 16, 2007, after a long and valiant battle with esophageal cancer at the age of 67. Predeceased by his parents, Olav and Edna, and his beloved daughter Sherrill. Dear father of Graham and cherished soulmate, partner and husband of Lucie Courchesne. A native of Tisdale, Saskatchewan, Bruce graduated from the University of Saskatchewan and began a career with the Treasury Department of the Saskatchewan government. He moved to Ottawa in 1966, where he worked with various federal government departments and agencies. Bruce loved gardening, cycling, photography, nature and wildlife. Special thanks to Dr. Budge, Dr. Maziak and her team, the wonderful and caring staff of the General Campus of the Ottawa Hospital, the Ottawa Regional Cancer Centre, CCAC, ParaMed and Carefor for their dedication. Special thanks also go to Dr. Chan, Alicia Campbell, and all the nursing and pastoral staff of the Elisabeth Bruyere Centre, whose incredible care and compassion relieved Bruce's suffering so that he was able to pass away peacefully. We will never forget you. A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 4, 2007 at the First Unitarian Congregation, 30 Cleary Avenue, Ottawa.
