Brian G. Johnson of Stockholm, N.J., passed away at home on July 13, 2011. He was 65. A funeral service will be held 7:30 p.m. on Friday, July 15, at the M. John Scanlan Funeral Home, Pompton Plains, N.J. The family will receive visitors on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Cremation will be private. Born in Perth Amboy, N.J., Brian was the son of Brian and Anne (nee Palchik). He proudly served as a United States Marine during the Vietnam War and later founded The Hole Company, a concrete cutting company. Brian is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Gloria; his son, Michael and partner, Donna Schauer and her daughters, Brianna and Tayler; his son, Adam; his daughter, Kimberly; his future-son-in-law, Cory Eichler; his brother, Robert and wife, Joan; his sisters, Nancy Monteverde and Linda Johnson and partner, Elaine Welsh; and several loving family members and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations to Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice, 99 Sparta Ave., Newton, N.J. 07860 would be sincerely appreciated by his family.
