FARMINGTON -- Blanche Louise Holman Parker, 89, went to join her family and friends in heaven on Wednesday, June 9, 2010.She was born April 24, 1921, in Portland, the daughter of O. Merton and L. Alice (Libby) Holman. She graduated from Mexico High School in 1938 and in 1940 married Aaron. She and her husband owned Jacob's Market in Wilton for many years, and she retired as a cook at Edgewood Manor in Farmington.She is survived by a daughter, Linda Abbott of Anson; two sons, James and his wife, Patti, of Wilton and Merton of new Sharon; a sister, Mary Waliek of Peru; 11 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren (with one more on the way); two stepgranddaughters and two step- great-grandsons; several nieces, nephews and cousins.She was predeceased by her husband in 1992; a daughter, June Gould in 1972; grandson Dale Abbott in 1998 and son-in-law, Earl "Sonny" Abbott Jr., in 1996.Family and friends are invited to call from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday afternoon at the Wiles Remembrance Center, 136 High St., Wilton. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday morning from the Center.Committal services at Lakeview Cemetery, Wilton.In lieu of flowers, remembrance gifts may be given to Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice, 17 Strawberry Ave., Lewiston, ME 04240.
