PATTERSON, Blake "Richard" March 7, 1927 - August 16, 2008 It is with deep sadness that the family of Blake Patterson announces his passing on August 16, 2008. He is survived by his wife Dorothy of fifty-two years; daughter, Melady Quast (Westerose); his sons, Michael and Deanna (Westerose) and Allen (Wetaskiwin), as well as his grandchildren, Robyn (Colin) Smart, Tracy (Brad) Stinn, Shawn, Miranda, Annaliese, Ashlynn and Jaden; great-grandchildren, Trenton, Ethan and Chloe. He is also survived by his brother, Leagh, and two sisters, Peggy and Bobby. He was predeceased by his parents, John James Patterson and Ruth Price Patterson; two sisters and one brother. Blake was born March 7, 1927 in Drumheller, and was the youngest of seven children. He moved with his family to Calgary in 1928. Later in life he met and married Dorothy and they resided on a farm in Westerose for about forty years. They moved to Wetaskiwin in the winter of 2005 where Dorothy still resides. A celebration of Blake's life will be held at Calvary Baptist Church on August 23, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. The family wishes to thank all the medical personnel that were involved in Blake's care.
