Barry Williams, 71, passed away November 15, 2013Mr. Williams, a native of Liverpool England, was the son of the late Evan Cadwal Williams and Muriel Starkey Williams, of Athens Georgia. He moved to the United States 51 years ago with his parents to be closer to his late sister, Cynthia Dickson. Mr. Williams served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He later obtained his U.S. Citizenship, alongside his parents and sister. He was proud to be an American. Mr. Williams was well known as the owner of Colbert TV and had many friends in Madison County. Survivors include a brother, Trevor Williams of Victoria, Australia; a brother in law, Jack H. Dickson of Watkinsville; nephews and nieces, Jeff Dickson, Gail Dickson Belden, Russ Dickson, Yvonne Dixon, Greg Dickson, Carol Williams Vincent, Tracy Williams and Gary Williams, and cousin, Muriel Currie.Funeral services will be Monday, November 18, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Lord and Stephens Chapel, EAST.
