BARBARA L. KING FORMERLY OF OVID - Barbara L. King, formerly of Ovid, passed away February 26, 2008 at Geneva Living Center South, at the age of 67. A memorial service, officiated by Rev. Diane Walker of the Ovid Federated Church, will be held at Covert Funeral Home, 7199 S. Main St., Ovid, on Saturday, March 1, 2008, at 4:00 p.m. Those wishing to remember Barb in the form of a contribution are asked to kindly consider the Four Towns Youth Program, PO Box 91, Ovid, NY 14521. Barb was born in Montour Falls, NY, a daughter of the late Kenneth C. and Helen M. (Poppleston) Robinson. She was employed for many years as a Therapy Aide at Willard Psychiatric Center. She was a member of the Ovid American Legion and VFW Auxiliary, as well as the Okeechobee, FL Moose and Elks Auxiliary. In addition to her parents, Barb was preceded in death by her husband, Harold, and a brother, Kenneth. She is survived by her children, Lisa Farr (Mike Felice) of Ovid, Scott Smith (Joan Hendrix) of Ovid, Sam (Shelly) Farr of Lodi, and Ronnie (Sherry) Smith of Romulus; 14 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and her sister, June Updike of Trumansburg.
