CARMAN, BARBARA F., 97, of Louisville, passed away Monday, December 26, 2005, at Brownsboro Hills Nursing Home. She was the former Barbara Frimberger and a native of Germany. She was a member of St. Rita Catholic Church and a former member of Resurrection Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas Lingl, and her second husband, Charles L. Carman; and a son, Reinhold Lingl. She is survived by a daughter, Theresia S. Alcorn; a daughter- in-law, Ella Lingl of Germany; five grandchildren, Otto Lingl, Jutta Henninger, Theresa Alcorn, Michael Alcorn and Patrick Alcorn; and four great-grandchildren, Thomas Lingl, Stephan Henninger, Stephany Lingl and Tobias Henninger. "The family would like to say a special thanks to the staff at Brownsboro Hills Nursing Home for their kindness and care for Barbara." Her funeral Mass will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at St. Rita Catholic Church, 8709 Preston Hwy., with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Thursday at Ratterman & Sons, 3800 Bardstown Rd. A prayer service will be held 6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contribution to Cedar Lake Lodge.
