Barbara A. Gates Barbara A. Gates, 61, after a long courageous battle with breast cancer Barbara Ann Patitucci Gates passed peacefully at her home Thursday morning surrounded by her family. Barbara was born in Bridgeton to Dorothy I. Hackney Patitucci and the late James J. Patitucci. She resided in Cedarville with her husband of 40 years, Harry R. Gates. Barbara was employed by Sheppard Farms for the past several years. Previous employers consist of Cumberland County Court House, Consalo Farms, A.J. Petrunis and Nardelli Bros. She enjoyed working on the reunion committee of Bridgeton High School class of '69 where her and her husband were class sweethearts. One of her greatest pleasures was spending time with her family, especially her husband, children and grandchildren. Surviving are her husband Harry R. Gates; sons, Harry R. Gates, Jr. and Sharon D'Agostino Gates; grandsons, Gavin, Adam and Brody Gates, Robert J. Gates and Jess Venello; granddaughter, Gia Gates; Mother, Dorothy I. Patitucci; mother-in-law Ethel Gates; siblings, John Patitucci (Cheri), Irene Horseman (Alan), Janice Hoffman (Bob), Cindy Perella (Joe) and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father-in-law Robert Gates. Funeral services will be held at the SRAY WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME 62 Landis Ave. Bridgeton on Tuesday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Steve Sheppard officiating. Viewings will be held Monday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday morning from 10 to 11 a.m. Interment will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery Cedarville.
