WHEELER, BARBARA N.Barbara N. Wheeler departed this life on Wednesday, December 8, 2004 at Dumont Masonic Home, after a long illness. A native New Rochellean, born October 14, 1919, daughter of the late Charles H. Wheeler, Sr. and the late Charity Heyward Wheeler. Her religious training was nurtured in Shiloh Baptist Church of New Rochelle and after relocating to Washington, DC she joined the Metropolitan Baptist Church and was active until her health failed. Employed many years with the Government Printing Office and upon retiring relocating to New Rochelle and reuniting with the Shiloh Baptist Church. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Veturia Lockhart and Mrs. Rosalyn Fisher; three brothers Roger P. Wheeler, Stanley Lord and Stuart Lord; aunt of Clifford Love, Stephanie, Guy and Michelle Lockhart and Charles H. Wheeler, III and Raland Wheeler; sister-in-law to Lilly Wheeler and Adderly Lord; other relatives and friends. Visiting Friday, December 10, 2004 7-8 pm Barney T. McClanahan F.H., Inc., 30 Winthrop Avenue, New Rochelle. Funeral Saturday 9 am Shiloh Baptist Church, 185 Lincoln Avenue, New Rochelle.
