Avis de décès de Arthur-Joseph Boyer

NORTH ADAMS -- Arthur Joseph Boyer, 91, of 334 Franklin St. died yesterday morning at North Adams Regional Hospital after a brief illness. Born in North Adams on Aug. 26, 1913, son of Alexander and Anna Franz Boyer, he was a 1932 graduate of Drury High School, where he was a member of the varsity football and baseball teams. Mr. Boyer was employed by Williams College in its painting department for about 10 years, until retiring in 1978. He was first employed at the former Wyandotte Worsted Woolen Mill in Pittsfield until the company ceased operations. He then joined the former Strong-Hewat Woolen Mill in Clarksburg. He was a longtime communicant of Notre Dame Church. He was a past member of the Stamford (Vt.) Valley Golf League. He and his wife, the former Loretta Peloquin, celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary Feb. 14. They were married in Notre Dame Church. Besides his wife, he leaves a daughter, Elise B. Beverly of Auburn; two sons, Robert C. Boyer of Fredericksburg, Va., and Michael A. Boyer of North Adams; seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Arthur Boyer, who died April 9, 2005, will take place Wednesday, April 13, at 10:15 at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams. Funeral Mass will be at 11 at St. Francis of Assisi Church. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Tuesday from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. Donations may be made to the Campership Fund at Clara Barton Diabetes Camp in North Oxford in care of the funeral home. Survivors include a son-in-law, Bruce Beverly; two daughters-in-law, Barbara Brazeau Boyer and Gail Leonesio Boyer; seven grandchildren, Carla Lehan, Robert P. Boyer, Kristen Gruodis, Brooke Beverly, Lauren Beverly, Tracey Boyer and Matthew Boyer, and four great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Lehan, Michele Lehan, Jack Boyer and Morgan Boyer.
