OCALA, Fla. — Arthur L. Johnson, 84, of Ocala died Friday, April 16, 2010 in Ocala. He was born in Detroit, Mich., on Dec. 5, 1925, son to the late Gustav and Julia (Meehan) Johnson. He was a World War II Navy veteran, petty officer second class and an electrician's mate who served in both the European and South Pacific theaters. He was present for three invasions in southern France. Arthur was production foreman with the former Moore Business Forms of Dover, N.H., for 37 years, retiring in 1983. He moved to Ocala in 2006. Arthur was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed golf, cards and fishing. He was a great husband and father who enjoyed his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his dear wife of 65 years, Alberta Johnson, Ocala; two sons, Francis Johnson, West Barth, Maine, and Clyde Johnson, Santa Clarita, Calif.; three grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.A graveside funeral service will be held Friday June 25, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at Pine Hill Cemetery, Dover. Relatives and friends are invited.
