VAUGHAN, Arthur Harden VAUGHAN, Arthur Harden - 81, Hantsport, Hants Co., passed away peacefully Monday, February 11, 2008, in Windsor Elms Senior Citizens Home, Windsor. Arthur was born on October 17, 1926, in Bishopville, and was a son of the late James and Leora (Tracey) Vaughan. He is survived his wife of 61 years, the former Verna Tracey; son, Dale (Bonnie); daughters, Judith Vaughan, Donna (Garnet) Mason and Barbara (Bill) Mesheau; brothers, Royce (Florence), Leo (Joyce), Clyde (Mabel), and Eric (Ruth); sisters, Gwendolyn (Peter) Crane, Ella (George) Kewley, and Shirley Skipper; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Arthur was predeceased by sisters, Christine Boudreau, and Sylvia in infancy. Arthur began his working career in the Royal Reserve Army, Windsor. He then went on to work for many years at Minas Basin Pulp and Power Ltd. He was a member of the Minas Waves Seniors Group, an adherent of Hantsport Baptist Church and a member of the Country Entertainers Band. Arrangements for cremation have been entrusted to Lohnes Funeral Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317). Funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Friday, February 15, in Hantsport Baptist Church, corner of Willow and Main streets, Hantsport, with Rev. Dan Jamer officiating. Private family interment will take place in Riverbank Cemetery, Hantsport, followed by a reception in the church gymnasium. Family flowers only. Donations in memory of Arthur may be made to the Lung Association of Nova Scotia, 17 Alma Cres., Halifax, NS B3N 9Z9.
