Anthony "Tony" Joseph Hachey 1934-2013 The death of Anthony “Tony” Joseph Hachey Sr. of Minto occurred Monday, October 21st, 2013 at the Veterans Health Unit, Fredericton, NB. Born in St. Charles, Kent Co., NB he was the son of the late Michael and Anna (Comeau) Hachey. A veteran of the Korean War, Tony loved country and blue grass music, loved fishing and his painting talent was known to many. His grandchildren had a special place in his heart. Survived by his sons, Tony Jr. (Joan) and John (Brenda); his daughter, Louise Hachey (Marcel) all of Minto, NB; his grandchildren, Rebbeca Atyeo, Crysta, Michael, Danny and Lisa Hachey and a great great granddaughter; brothers, Andrew and Arthur (Wendy) both of Woodstock, NB; sisters, Rose McKinnon of Minto, NB and Bertha Priest of Ontario; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Tony was predeceased by his beloved wife, Ida (Collette) Hachey; his son, Joseph Hachey and a sister, Louise Martin. Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 26th, 2013 from the Minto Community Chapel. Interment will take place in Saint Bridget’s Cemetery, Hardwood Ridge, NB. For those who wish, donations made to the Canadian Diabetic Association or the Alzheimers Society would be appreciated by the family.
