HOWEY-THOMAS, Annie Jo Age 86, of Central Avenue, Wellsboro, PA, passed away March 14, 2010 at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late Frederick A. Howey, who died in 1989, and the late Raymond Thomas, who died in 2004. Jo was born May 23, 1923 in Brownsboro, TX, the daughter of the late Ruben and Elizabeth Alvis Chapman. She had been owner/operator of The Steak House Restaurant, and was a member of the Wellsboro United Methodist Church. Jo enjoyed bowling, playing cards and was an avid painter. She was a member of Mary Wells Chapter No. 452 Order of Eastern Star, Gmeiner Art Club, Wellsboro Fire Department Auxiliary, and the Tioga County Amateur Radio Club KA3SCF. Surviving are sons, David (Barbara) Howey and Dale (Joyce) Howey, both of Wellsboro; daughter, Kay (Jerry) Hickman, Leander, TX; six grandchildren, Christina (Geoff) Coffee, Wellsboro, Jennifer Worthington, Wellsboro, Sarah (Wayne) Taylor, Boliver, NY, Shana Hickman and Terry Whisenant of Cedar Park, TX, Donovan (Summer) Hickman, Wichita Falls, TX, and Sean Hickman, Leander, TX; eleven great-grandchildren; brother, Ed (Martha) Chapman; sister, Novella (Thomas) Griffin. She was preceded in death by Annie Jo Howey-Thomas; her parents, two Husbands; granddaughter, Anna Howey; and brother, Sperry Chapman. Friends and family are invited to Jo's Life Celebration on Tuesday, March 16, 2010, from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, a "Life Celebration Home", 139 Main Street, Wellsboro, PA.
