Annette (Gauvin) Glaude -- March 17, 1924 -- April 11, 2005 -- NORWICH -- Annette (Gauvin) Glaude, 81, wife of the late Edmond "Jerry" Glaude, of 62 Yantic Lane, Norwich, died Monday afternoon at Backus Hospital. Born in Danielson on March 17, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Alphonse and Delima (Mainville) Gauvin.Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a cook in the Head Start Program. She was also an avid bingo player and Pittsburgh Steelers fan.On November 22, 1945 at Sacred Heart Church in Taftville, she was united in marriage to Edmond "Jerry" Glaude who died December 26, 1993.Surviving is one daughter Gloria J. Ruffo of Norwich, one son Russell J. Glaude of Jewett City, three grandchildren, Tammy Magrey, Tracey Glaude and Allison Martin, and two great grandchildren, Hannah and Ryan Magrey, along with several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother Ernest Gauvin.A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 9 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 52 West Town St., Norwichtown. There is no visitation. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to either American Diabetes Assoc., 300 Research Pkwy., Meriden, CT., 06450, or to American Heart Assoc., 5 Brookside Dr., Wallingford, CT., 06492.
