Anne P. Francis enjoyed traveling and sewing LOWELL Mrs. Anne P. (McCarthy) Francis of Lowell, MA died at her home on Nov. 26, 2007. She was married to the late Arthur Francis who died in 1985. Born in Ireland on March 11, 1925, the daughter of the late John and Julia (Donoughue) McCarthy. She was educated in Ireland, and came to the U.S. in 1956. She was a seamstress with the Jean Allen Rug Co. in Lowell, MA, from where she retired. She was a part time employee with Edith Nourse Rogers V.A. Hospital in Bedford, MA. She was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church of North Chelmsford, MA. She enjoyed travel and sewing. She is survived by her nieces and nephews Kate Crowley, Jer Donovan, John Donovan, Mary Cormier, Chris Donovan, Bridget O'Shaughnessy, Donald Donovan, Anne Welch, Maureen O'Regan, and David O'Brien. Many grandnieces and nephews and many friends, also her neighbor Paul and Dottie Demarais of Lowell, MA. She was the sister of the late Mary O'Brien, Catherine Donovan, Patrick McCarthy, and John McCarthy. FRANCIS Mrs. Anne P. Francis of Lowell, MA, died Nov. 26, 2007.
