Anna A. Winters HOOSICK FALLS - Anna A. Winters 93, passed away on Thursday May 22, at the Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Hoosick Falls. She was the wife of the late August J. Winters Jr.. Anna was born on March 22, 1921, in Sherbrook, Canada, daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Rousseau) Rivard. She attended schools in the Town of Hoosick. Anna was a seamstress at CB Sports in Bennington, Vermont. Survivors include her children daughter Beverly Burnham (Robert) of Warrensburg, NY, sons Richard Winters (Sandra Singer) of Massachusetts, and August Winters of Center Brunswick, NY, sister Joan Baker of Troy, NY, brother Theodore Rivard of Maryland, also eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren. Anna was predeceased by a grandson David Winters and a daughter in law Ann Winters. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday May 28 at 11:00 am from the Immaculate Conception Church on Main Street in Hoosick Falls. Burial will follow the mass at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Hoosick Falls. Relatives and friends may call at the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls on Tuesday May 27 from 5:00 – 7:00 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Judes Children Hospital through the funeral home.
