Ann Moser Weir, of Piedmont, formerly of New Castle, Pa., and Grand Rapids, MI, passed away at Hospice House of the Upstate in Anderson on Sunday, Oct. 17, 2004, after a period of declining health.She was born in Butler County, Pa., on Nov. 7, 1912. She had been a resident of New Castle, Pa., and Grand Rapids, Mich., prior to moving to Piedmont in 1986.She was a retired beautician.She was a born-again Christian and was a member of Morningside Baptist Church, Greenville. She had been a former member of Caleb's Kin and Morningside Seniors.She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Francis M. Weir; a daughter and son-in-law, Alyce and Ron Countryman, of Greenville; three grandchildren, Mrs. Kay Miller, and her husband, Stan, of LaGrange, Ga., Mrs. Judy Oakman, and her husband, Jamie, of Lexington, and Bruce Countryman, and his wife, Ellen, of Taylors; and eight great-grandchildren.She was predeceased by her parents, Albert and Mary Filgus Moser; and a sister, Mary Alice Jones.Visitation will be today from 6 to 7 p.m. at The Mackey Mortuary, Greenville; and also from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Wednesday, prior to the service at 11 a.m., at the mortuary, with the Rev. Tony Miller, Pastor of Morningside Baptist Church, officiating.
