SANDERS, ANN, 87Ann Sanders, 87, of Ocala, FL passed away Friday, Sept. 30, 2011. Born in Brooklyn, New York on April 9, 1924, to the late Bernard and Margaret McGuirk. Ann was a retired teacher and moved to Ocala in 1983. She was a member of Blessed Trinity Catholic Church and former member of Our Lady of the Springs. She is survived by sons, Michael C. (Barbara) Sanders, Saugerties, NY; Stephen C. (Jeannie) Sanders, Brandon, FL; daughter, Nancy M. Sanders, Ocala, FL; grandchildren, Douglas (Ashley) Sanders and David Sanders, Saugerties, NY; Jonathan Sanders, Myrtle Beach, SC; Kyle and Bridgette Sanders, Brandon, FL; one great-grandchild Riley Madison Sanders, Saugerties, NY; brother, Joseph McGuirk, Poughkeepsie, NY; sister, Elizabeth Callahan, Red Bank, NJ; many nieces and nephews and one special grandcat Blackie. She was preceded in death by her husband Bert C. Sanders (Oct. 1985); brothers Paul and Peter McGuirk; sister, Mary Mitchell; and niece Annie McGuirk. The service for all her family and friends to celebrate her life will be held at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church on Monday, October 3, 2011, with a viewing starting at 10am, mass at 11am with Father Michael Farrell officiating, followed by a reception in the church community center. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Marion County Public Library System.
