Ann Elizabeth Dale Sargent, 64, of Gainesville, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2011, at Vista Care Hospice of Emory Midtown, Atlanta, following an extended illness.Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, Oct. 14, 2011, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. Pierce Ashmore and the Rev. Bobby Griffin will officiate. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2011, and Thursday, Oct. 13, 2011, from 6–9 p.m. at the funeral home.Mrs. Sargent was born Dec. 22, 1946, in Gainesville to the late Ford Dale and Grace Butler Dale. She retired from Warren Featherbone and was a member of New Holland Congregational Holiness. Ann was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Douglas Harvey Sargent; her brother, Kenneth Dale; and her "Papa" uncle, Ralph Butler.Mrs. Sargent is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Kevin and Marie Sargent of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., Brian and Lisa Sargent of Gainesville and Jason and Candi Sargent of Gainesville; grandchildren, Blake Sargent, Ansley Sargent, Austin Sargent, Dalton Sargent, Kala Sargent, Haley Sargent and Eric Pulliam; great-grandchild, Chazz Pulliam; and sisters, Michelle Dale and Freida Dale, both of Atlanta.Memorial Park Funeral Home, 2030 Memorial Park Road, Gainesville, GA 30504 is in charge of arrangements.Send online condolences to www.memorialparkfuneralhomes.com
