Alphonse Joseph Daigle 1909 - 2008 Alphonse Joseph Daigle, of St. Louis de Kent, NB and husband of Rita Mary (Vautour) Daigle, passed away at the Lions Nursing Home, Rexton on Wednesday, May 14th, 2008 at the age of 98 years. Born in Pointe-Sapin, NB to the late Simon and Charlotte Daigle. Alphonse had retired after working as a coal miner and janitor. He is survived by his wife Rita; three daughters, Celine Surrette, Mashpee, Mass., Doris Duffy, Centerville, Mass., Joanne Morgan, Bourne, Mass; one son, Paul of Richibucto; two grandchildren, Lee D. Surrette, Mass., Christopher Duffy, Florida; and one great grandson, Zachery T Surrette, Mass. Alphonse was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Predeceased by three sisters, Anna Daigle, Harriet Savoie, Charlotte Daigle and five brothers, Dasie, Theodule, Edward, Philip, Antoine. The family would like to thank the staff of the Rexton Lions Nursing Home for the wonderful care given to Alphonse for the past 10 years and the care they continue to give to our mother and patients of the home. There will be no visitation. Funeral Mass will be held at the St. Louis de Francais Roman Catholic Church, St. Louis de Kent on Friday, May 23rd, 2008 at 4:00pm.
