DAVIS, ALLAN D-It is with deep sadness that the family of Allan D. Davis (Feb. 24, 1924-Nov. 15, 2008) of Wilmington, NC announces his peaceful passing following a brief illness. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 63 years Evelyn, his children Brian (Julie) Davis of Regina SK, Neil (Linda) Davis of White Rock BC, Diane (Dennis) Trefiak of Regina SK, Paula (Dave) Handy of Schenectady NY, Ian (Linda) Davis of Guilderland NY, Karen Davis of Wylliesburg VA., Michael (Armeda) Davis of Amsterdam, NY, Allan's sister Isabelle (Les) Ross of Moose Jaw SK, his brother Norman (Kaye) Fleury of Bathhurst NS, 18 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Allan was born in Willowbunch SK, one of 8 children of Charles & Violet Davis. He lived in Regina and worked for Cameron Electric, the Regina Fire Department and Saskatchewan Technical Institute until the family moved to the US in 1972. Allan's generous, gentle nature and quiet determination made him the treasured father, grandfather and great grandfather we knew and loved. Allan was able to fix or repair anything. His natural knack for how things worked was amazing and he was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it. His greatest love was his partner, friend and devoted wife Evelyn. His passing leaves a void that we can only try to fill with the many wonderful memories he left us with. A private celebration of Allan's life will held at a later date. Friends wishing to do so may make a donation to a charity of their choice in Allan's name.
