Alice Rita Deda Age 79 of San Antonio TX, died August 24, 2006 in San Antonio. Alice was born in Elmira a daughter of the late Edward J. and Alice (Aldous) Hughes. She was predeceased by her brothers, James E., Henry M., Robert J., Francis, John L., and her sister Margaret E. Brooker. Alice is survived by her husband Carl Johnson; daughter Rita; sons, Mark and Ronald; daughter-in-law, Debbie; grandchildren Elizabeth and John. She is also survived by brother and sister-in-law, Edward J. and Dorothy Hughes; sisters, Mary T. Kennedy and S. Betty Hughes, RSM; nieces, nephews and many cousins of the Hughes and Manning families. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Pius Church in San Antonio. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated in Elmira at St. Patrick's Church on Friday, October 13, 2006 at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow at SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery.
