Alice Elizabeth FarrellNovember 20, 1915 -- June 6, 2012 LOWELL -- Alice Elizabeth Farrell, 96, of Lowell, MA, passed away peacefully in her niece's (Rena Elizabeth Stockett) Scottsdale, AZ home on June 6, 2012. Rena was at Alice's bedside at the time of her death.Alice moved to Scottsdale in 2000 to share the remainder of her life with her niece, Rena Stockett, and her nephews, David, Mark and Val Turcotte of Scottsdale. Alice, the second of three daughters born November 20, 1915 to Elizabeth Catterall-Farrell and Charles H. Farrell of Lowell, MA, was predeceased by her father, Charles in 1917 and her mother, Elizabeth in 1987. Alice's sisters, Mrs. Harold W. (Rena) Matthews of Lexington, NC, and Mrs. Valmore C. (Pearl) Turcotte of Scottsdale, AZ predeceased Alice on March 19, 1999 and June 26, 1999 respectively. Alice was predeceased by her lifelong friend, Duncan F. Heslin.Alice's career included employment with the Internal Revenue Service in Washington, DC, serving as District Administrative Assistant to Congressman F. Bradford Morse, U.S. House of Representatives 5th Massachusetts Congressional District, and retired from the office of Investor Relations for the Raytheon Corp.Alice is survived by her niece, Rena and nephews David, Mark and Val; grandnephew, Daniel J. (and Mrs. Julee) Schwieger; grandniece, Denise J. Schwieger-Savoy; grandnephews, Phillip and Peter Turcotte; and grandniece, Evelyn Turcotte; great-grandnephew, Alexander Savoy; great-grandniece, Elizabeth Savoy; and great-grandniece, Natalee Schwieger; great-grandniece, Kristeen Gall; and great-grandnephew, Ryan Steward; and great-great-grandnephew, Christopher Simensen.Other survivors include Linda Copp of Tyngsborough, MA, Paul C. Copp of Dayton, Ohio, Mary A., John T. and Michael Conroy of Dracut, MA, and Meredith (Conroy) Rickheit of Leominster, MA and Punta Gorda, FL.FARRELL -- A Memorial Mass for Alice will be held at the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Roman Catholic Church (7655 East Main Street, Scottsdale, AZ 85251 (480) 947-4331) on Friday, June 15, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Institute, 243 Charles Street, Boston, MA 02114 - (617) 523-7900.
