-> Claxton - Alfred Wallace Parker, 57, passed away at his home in Lafayette, CO., of complication from diabetes. He was a native of Savannah and grew up in Waycross. He was a graduate of Georgia Tech and was retired from EDS in Boulder, CO. Al was preceded in death by his father, Wallace Parker. Survivors include an aunt and her daughter, Gene Mayfield and Helen Atwood of Laurens, SC; his mother, Geneva Parker of Claxton; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Genevieve and Romie Kirkland and DeVane and Larry Lewis of Claxton; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Jerry and Anita Parker of Macon and Charlie and Diane Parker of Claxton, seven nieces, one nephew, several great-nieces and nephews. Visitation: 2:00-3:00 p.m., Saturday, December 17, 2005 at J. Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home. Graveside service at 3:00 p.m., Saturday at Brewton Cemetery.
