Alfred "Barney" A. Poulin, 86, of Seabury Community, Bloomfield, formerly of Wolcott Dr., Granby, beloved husband of the late Anne (Richards) Poulin, died Wednesday (March 30, 2005). Born in Yarmouth, ME, son of the late Edward and Mary (Daniels) Poulin, he had lived in Granby for 42 years moving to Bloomfield two years ago. He served in the US Navy during World War II and was employed for 41 years in Plant Engineering at Hamilton Standard, retiring in 1982. He was a communicant of St. Peter's Church in Westfield, MA, member of Shannon-Shattuck Post #182 American Legion in Granby, the Granby Senior Center and attended the Granby Senior Men's Breakfast Group. He leaves a brother, William Poulin of Santa Barbara, CA; a sister, Leah Baldwin of Belfair, WA; three sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law, Helen Wagelein and Marjorie Greany both of Stuart, FL, Lois and Gordon Baker of Westfield, MA; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, April 2, 11 a.m. at St. Peter's Church, 24 State St., Westfield, MA, followed by burial in St. Mary's Cemetery, Westfield, MA. His family will receive friends Friday, 6-8 p.m. at the Hayes-Huling and Carmon Funeral Home, 364 Salmon Brook St., Granby.
