HACHEY, ALBERT J. - The passing of Albert Joseph Hachey of Fredericton, NB occurred Thursday, April 3, 2008 at the age of 91. Born March 15, 1917 in Rogersville, NB, he was the son of the late Auguste and Flavie (Cormier) Hachey. Albert was a member of St. Dunstan's Roman Catholic Church, Fredericton and prior to his retirement was a butcher with Chippins Ltd. His parents, wife Meta L. (Jensen) Hachey (1993), brothers, Fred and François and a sister, Thérèse all predeceased him. Albert is survived by a step-son, Alton Adams (Marion) of Newmarket, Ont.; step-grandchildren, Barbara Johnston and Lorraine Clarke (Peter) both of Ontario; four step-great grandsons, and one step-great grand-daughter; a sister, Adèle Bourque of Fredericton; six brothers, Edgar (Thérèse) of Fredericton, Gerald (Loree) of Florida, Fred (Rigina) of Moncton, Eric (Doris) of Shediac Bridge, Joseph (Stella) of Cocagne and Alderic (Dorina) of Fredericton; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Albert is also survived by a very special friend and companion, Marilyn Adams. No visitation by request. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Bishop's Funeral Home (458-1885), Fredericton, NB. Memorials to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated.
