Father of Cathy Showalter (Dan), David (Karen), Michael (Susan), and special Dad to Wendy Proulx (Dave). Adored grandpa of Emma Marie. Grandfather of 9, great-grandfather of 3. Brother of Hilda Boxall, Burlington. Predeceased by father Malcolm (1969), mother Leona (2002) and brother Carl (1936). Al was a member of R.C.L. Branch 593, Bells Corners and Temple Lodge #665, Ottawa. He proudly served with the Princess Patricia Canadian Light Infantry 1950-1953 in Canada and Continental Europe.
