ObituaryAlbert G. Haase, 91, of Cape Coral, went to join his Heavenly Father on Saturday February 20, 2010 in Cape Coral. He was born in Newark, NJ on September 22, 1918 to the late Louis A. and Edith (nee; Haag) Haase. Albert graduated from Seton Hall University with a degree in Business Administration, he also graduated from the Industrial College of the Armed Forces. Honorably serving the U.S. Army as active and reserve duty for 37 years, retiring as a Lt. Colonel. Retiring from International Harvester Co. in 1979 as of Logistics Data Processing Motor Truck Division after 40 years of Company service.Al was a member of the Cape Coral First United Methodist Church, The Retired Military and Reserve Officers Association, the Cape Coral Power Squadron and the Cape Coral Elks, lodge 2596.He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 67 years, Florence D. (nee; Hodes) Haase in March 2009.He is survived by his two daughters, Brenda Zelt and her husband David of Cape Coral and Kathy Ruzak and her husband George of Mukwonago, WI; 5 granddaughters, Tammy Stobaugh of KY, Dianne Rybicki of IN, Michelle Salzman, Amy Warden and Lisa Pollnow all of WI; 14 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandson.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cape Coral Caring Center, Hope Hospice of Cape Coral, and or Cape Coral First United Methodist Church.Memorial Service will be conducted on Monday, March 1, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. at the Cape Coral First United Methodist Church inurnment to follow with U.S. Army presenting honors.Fuller Cape Coral Funeral Home - Cremation Service is in charge of arrangements. http://www.fullerfuneralhome.com
